Studio Curtains

Contiuued weaving in the 20/2 yarn (a neutral/ecru shade) that almost matches the crichet loom. There is a row of 4 thread brooks bouquet followed by 9 even pics, followed by 4 thread brook's bouquet offset with by two threads and one even pick.

Weaving two 15 inch (before draw in) panels to create curtains for my studio.

I didn't sample. Had the idea for this project for nearly a decade ... can I actually make it look decent and nice?

I often dream of weaving but rarely actually sit to work on my technique (or remember all the special vocabulary terms).

Will Dot destroy them the moment they're finished and hung in my window?

Worked Brooks Bouquet w/offset with single pick inbetween (inspired image by Tina on Loomy Tunes). Then repeated 9 even between.

It's definitely open and lacy.

There's some slight unevenness in my beating tension. It seemed better yesterday, a few warp threads feel as if they've loosened but I'm hesitant to add weight to them, the cotton is slightly fragile. Doubtful I'll make both panels match from these super sketchy notes. Oh well.

Return to project.

Warped. about 130" length. Full across 12 dent heddle on cricket.

Two errors: one doubled warping thread, and one missed eye on threading. Leaving. I didn't check my work so I need to learn to live with it.

Header: 18 picks beat as even as possible in 3/2 Valley Cotton #2746 doubled.

Hem: 18, doubled, 18.

Curtain: 9 even, 4-thread Brook's Bouquet. repeat with 2 thread offset for 3 bands of even (mostly) weaving between the bouquets. It's about 5.5 in / 14cm past the header.
