Finished. Finally!

I finished and wove in the ends on Sunday. I wore it for the first time yesterday and no one at minyan asked “did you make that” which either means they assume I did, or it didn’t look different from something they’re used to seeing in a shop. Today there’s rain which combined with a basement studio means I’ve been wearing this cardigan all morning and I really enjoy the modification choices I made.

The sleeves are full length but not absurdly over long. they cover the meaty part of my thumb if I stretch it out. It’s at about wrist length for the body. There’s some short rows in the back to make sure it hangs long.

My mods to the collar included some short rows so it didn’t go up too high on my neck in the back but gave me more coverage. Do I wish I could’ve made a much larger collar, it is 3.5 inches? Yes. But for a summer cardi it’s good and I really wanted to be done.

I still haven’t bothered to rinse or block it. I’m wearing it straight of the needles.

Photos as always are a challenge so dress form (aka mannequin without arms) photo shoot it is.

I can’t believe this sweater is finally finished after all these years.
