PaiMuTanTea Blanket

Sue crocheted a shawl by this designer and I fell in love. I hope this willl not be a forever unfinished blanket.

Yet another

8 June 2026

This blanket has another purpose. It’s intentionally different from everything else I’m working on. A friend is making a shawl in a different pattern from the same designer and I got an itch. After resisting for two weeks I broke down.

I’m hoping the different keeps my brain working on all the other little things and those projects move forward.

Because, honestly, I hope I can set this aside in the heart of summer which is likely going to arrive very soon.

slowly growing

8 July 2026

I’m enjoying working someone else’s design and how this is tickling the parts of my brain that wanted something completely different from everything else I have in progress. I’m looking forward to seeing more of the design emerge from my hook.

restarted

Restarting in Quail given the current LBC palette and what I've acquired. Current plain is Quail, Elm, Hemp, Ice (which may only be a final border or throughout. We'll see.)

very slow and very fast

1 September 2026

This blanket is progressing very slowly. Mostly because I’ve not prioritised time to work on it. But it’s also growing fast because it’s the second time I’ve started it, this time in a colour it will be easier to blend in with longer term as I shift colours. LB seems to have changed the palette from the eye searing brights to what i consider more penny friendly muted tones. I worked on one round this afternoon. It doesn’t seem much, but it’s more than was worked when I woke up this morning. I purposely start the next one so it’s easier to find my place.
