summer is for cotton motifs
I wrote about how motifs are ideal for summer work yesterday in large part because I'd pulled out this project. I'm still unsure if the combo that works for this discontinued yarn. I took apart each 200 g cake and wound individual balls of the different colour combinations.
Instead of working this as one huge massive blanket, per the design, I'm working 9 patch squares in the various marled shades that I'll then join together.
I believe that I'm knitting a blanket, but we'll find out as the knitting progresses. When I finish a few more patches I'll figure out how I'm joining them and what I'm doing for the border.
For now, the second patch in progress works as a mini blanket for Dot.
