But will I wear it?
I love nearly everything about this cardigan.
The simple construction that makes it a good project for TV or car knitting.
The Artyarns Silk Mohair Ombre 2 ply is delightful. Well, as long as I stay away from the circular needle I was using for some of it. Once I switched I confirmed that for knitting (as for crochet) — not splitty or prone to dropped stitches.
I changed the pattern and opted for a narrower collar, working only 4 rows longer than the cuff. Why? Honestly I was bored but I also didn’t want a big collar. I wish I’d bound off even looser than I had (perhaps JSSBO) and I’m honestly contemplating picking it out and redoing it. I wish I’d thought about the sleeve circumference — they’re quite loose and I prefer tighter sleeves.
However, the bigger question is the colours. I detest with passion red. But most of the world loves when I wear it. I’m trying to convince myself that these are the colours of the golden hour before sunset. We’ll see.
