Notes
While I struggled (for many reasons, not just in the actual knitting) to work what’s now know as the 70+1 vest, I’ve always wanted to knit it for myself. My studio space can be chilly and I wanted something to toss on. I finally figured out the differences between the original and revisited pattern, and have a better grasp on reading garter stitch. So this was a quick and successful knit.
Best part of the project? I used up long lingering yarn from other projects, Veste (2008) & Mittens (2014).
I love it. Do I wish it was all one yarn? Yes! Am I wearing it now? Yes.
Project Log
- 2021-10-12 T —
Suddenly I needed a vest. Something to toss on while at my desk. Primarily grey so it goes with everything. But where’s the rest of the Mist? Did I actually donate that Veste since it was too short for my torso?
- 2021-10-13 W —
Webinars mean lots of knitting time.
- 2021-10-14 R —
BO first side of RWV. Look for contrast yarns to help stretch the grey. Rib back so that fronts will be uniform grey.
- 2021-10-15 F —
Figured out where best to switch. Using twilight heather.
- 2021-10-16 S —
3R grey to then purple to end. Carefully pick out the tab on first side, so it and first 3R will be purple and match other side.
- 2021-10-17 U —
Weave in ends and wear. Very happy to figure out the pattern, knit it, and wear it.
