Color Affection

I’ve wanted to work up this design for over a decade… finally realized that it won’t knit itself.

It’s well planned… by the time I was bored with the solid section, I began the stripes. As that began to be tedious, I started the short rows. They were apparently so engaging that I knit extra repeats.

The shawl is huge and squishy and I love it. One day I’ll measure it.

    It’s warm enough to sit outside and knit this afternoon. Realized that the Haiku is very shiny compared to my other yarns. Went stash diving with my scale and found a mystery green that fits perfectly. I may be off by a few stitches but here’s to C2 and short rows.

    At 6 C1 stripes. The merino cloud is showing darker for the most part than I expected when presented next to the molly girl. I like it an am definitely cuious how the haiku will look when added to the mix.

    Swapping out the Old Maiden Aunt in Cold Sheep for Artyarns Merino Cloud in a tonal dark charcoal grey (2264). I kept questioning the choice so it made sense to make a change, however I don’t quite have a good third solid so I hope this isn’t too tonal! Now if I could just do…
